【摘要】:1.1Thisspecificationcoverstherequirementsforfivecompositionsofwroughtseamlessstainlesssteeltubingforthemanufactureofsurgicalimplants.MaterialshallconformtotheapplicablerequirementsofSpecificationsF138,F1314,F1586,F2229,orF2581.Thisspecificationaddressesthoseproductvariablesthatdifferentiatewroughtseamlesstubingfromthebarandwireproductformscoveredinthesespecifications.1.2Thisspecificationappliestocoldfinished,straightlengthtubingfrom3to34mm(0.125to1.315in.)nominaloutsidediameter(OD)and0.5mm(0.020in.)andgreaternominalwallthickness.1.3Thespecificationsin2.1arereferredtoastheASTMmaterialstandard(s)inthisspecification.1.4Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Inch-poundunitsareshowninparentheses.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemmaynotbeexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnon-conformancewiththestandard.
