本标准规定了船用耐火窗的分级、耐火玻璃板、窗框、检验规则、试验报告和产品标志。本标准适用于安装在船舶及海上结构物上耐火结构的矩形窗或舷窗的设计、制造和验收。 本标准与ＩＳＯ５７９７：２００４《船舶与海上技术———耐火结构的窗和舷窗》的一致性程度为非等效。
本标准代替ＧＢ／Ｔ１７４３４—１９９８《船用耐火窗技术条件》。
